My sister-in-law Sarah brought these to vegan night and they were so good. She severed them with Frank’s red hot buffalo sauce. Thanks Sarah!
Ingredients:
•1 block firm or extra-firm tofu, pressed, and cut into chunks
•1/3 cup soymilk
•2 tbsp mustard
•1 tsp onion powder
•1 tsp garlic powder
•1/2 tsp salt
•1/4 tsp black pepper
•1 tbsp nutritional yeast
•2 cups bread crumbs (You can use store-bought, but I made my own in a handy chopper by chopping up a few slices of bread, seasoned with a little garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste)
Preparation:
Whisk together the soymilk, mustard, nutritional yeast and spices until smooth in a wide bowl. Place bread crumbs in a separate bowl. Stir tofu chunks into mustard mixture and let them marinade for about an hour. Don’t stir too much or they will break apart.
Coat each tofu chunk in the bread crumbs then bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees, turning once. I baked them on parchment paper.
